Hello, everybody. At a guess, you’re all familiar with my other blogs (The Masters of the Universe Review Site and Thundercats Reviewed) so I think you pretty much all know the score by now: when there’s not a global pandemic on, I commute into London and spend my train ride watching cartoons and writing reviews of them, sometimes savagely. On this blog I’ll be exploring the 1987/88 series of BraveStarr. I knew nothing of BraveStarr before writing these reviews, and the process was a joyful voyage of discovery, as I’m sure you can imagine.
With both my other blogs, I’d finished writing the reviews when suddenly new reboots of the various franchises were announced, thus keeping me in work for years to come. (“Work”, he says, as if anyone pays him for it.) I’m kind of hoping that holds true for BraveStarr too. I’d love to see how this series would be updated for the 21st century.
In the meantime, though, let’s train our eyes of the hawk and ears of the wolf onto the TV screen, and watch our way through this 1980s, er, classic. Most recent reviews will appear at the bottom of this page, and older ones can be found on the Contents page.
(Incidentally, I’d like it if the recent reviews could appear on the right hand side, like they do on my other blogs, but I don’t appear to have the option to add sidebars. If anyone has more experience with WordPress than I, please do get in touch!)
